ABSTRACT

In addition to the ecological and social impact and interest, pavement recycling is an operation of great economic interest, and technical. In recent years, due to the increase in both environmental awareness and the need to optimize production processes have been designed different types of binders with rejuvenating order to improve the recycling of aged materials firm giving back its original features lost .

In this paper the calculation of the diffusion coefficient between the rejuvenating and bitumen by a method based on infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transform attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR) method is discussed. Knowledge of these coefficients to assess, and where appropriate, to predict the behavior of rejuvenating in bitumen.
