ABSTRACT

Recent years have been profligate in the development of new materials and technologies in the field of bituminous mixtures and firm. These developments have been mainly focused on obtaining more sustainable roads, through the use and recovery of waste, reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases or saving non-renewable natural resources.

In order to include these technologies in the legislation and in the practice of building firm, the General Directorate of State Highways has promoted the realization of experimental sections to scale in which to test their effectiveness and difficulties of its formulation and placing. In this article the most significant experimental sections promoted in recent years along with a brief description of the results are presented.
