ABSTRACT:
The article presents the work carried out in the project of the Corredor de Occidente de Honduras for the technical assistance formed by the TYPSA-AEC consortium. It is a road rehabilitation project, divided into three lots. The Corredor de Occidente connects the second largest city in the country, San Pedro Sula, in northwestern Honduras, with international border crossings with Guatemala and El Salvador, and with the Mayan site of Copán Ruinas, recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Humanity from 1980. The road safety factor has been very present during the three years of the project, through the application of road safety audits during the construction phase, as well as through advisory work to improve the road safety management of the country.
