ABSTRACT
Road safety is a key factor in the logistics of those industries that, due to their characteristics, have the road as an integrating and structuring element of their activity, since they have facilities that are scattered among themselves, as, for example, in the case of mining in Chile. These roads are privately owned and are managed by the operating companies themselves.
The primary objective of any economic activity is the improvement of productive performance. Road safety audits, in addition to improving road safety and reducing the number of victims, are a valid tool to optimize investments by preventing the costs arising from traffic accidents, both relating to personal injury and material as to the delays caused.
