ABSTRACT
The conservation and improvement of roads is a matter of great importance and must be highlighted for future investment within our roads’ and their infrastructures. However, huge investment in roads has come to an end and we must learn from our mistakes. Predominately, the question being: did we manage the public resources effectively enough?. Within our current economic state we need to find ways to continuously improve the efficiency and functionality whilst considering the, already strained, human and financial resources. The setting up of computerized management systems would only help optimize this process.
