ABSTRACT
In March 2014, 60 after months of design and construction work, dredging performed the last section of the first project of public-private partnership (PPP) in the state of Florida: the remodeling of the I-595.
The main challenge that DRAGADOS faced up was the construction of a new roadway within a corridor of high capacity, maintaining the level of traffic service, during all phases of the works, that were finally completed ahead of schedule.
It is important to highlight the operations carried out on the University Drive Interchange, in which, instead of demolishing the existing bridge, it was proposed to adapt its alignment and rise it 45 centimeters, improving safety, cost and time.
DRAGADOS developed an Environmental Compliance Plan (ECP) which included the rehabilitation of the North River Channel, and the construction of greenways along the entire route.
