The modification of the classification system of enterprises under the Law on Public Sector Contracts

ABSTRACT:

This article presents the current situation of the classification system of enterprises. The recent amendment has created new categories in works and services, it eliminates the obligation qualifying service contracts, although the works remains mandatory for amounts over 500.000. As for the groups and subgroups, works no change, but there is a considerable reduction services groups and subgroups, creating a new one and modification of some of the existing ones.

The main change in the classification of works is associated with a demand for greater capitalization of companies and the period of adaptation to the new rules for companies already classified with classification is indefinite until January 1 of 2020. In the classification of services description of activities it is done through the CPV, which will lead to the contracting authorities to clarify the CPV and classification in the contract notices.
