ABSTRACT:
Today it is essential to minimize costs and environmental impact when rehabilitate and construct roads. In recent years there have been numerous studies on the reuse of recycled aggregates in structural layers of roads and concrete.
Another type of waste could be applied for these purposes, but today or are taken to landfill or are used in applications with little added value. Specifically, due to the growing demand for clean energy in Andalusia it has developed an important sector around the generation of electric energy from biomass combustion. With this system of renewable energy generation increased by-products of combustion, ash-called biomass, which can be background (CFB) and flyers (CVB) it is associated.
The aim of this work is to study the reuse of bottom ash biomass for the construction of linear works, increasing its value as a byproduct, and to some extent avoiding transfer to landfill. In particular, research on the application of these ashes in concourses, as a stabilizing material expansive soils are made.
