The III Regional Road Plan of Castilla-La Mancha 2015-2026, promoted by the Government from the General Directorate of Roads (DGC), constitutes the strategic framework for planning road infrastructures in the region for the next 12 years. The Plan, the result of two years of intense work and reflection, began with a visual inspection of the entire regional road network to find out its physical characteristics and state of conservation, carried out by the personnel assigned to the DGC. Based on these data and taking into account the intensity of traffic, the road accident rate in recent years, the current capacity of the roads in service and the forecast of their future evolution, the real needs of the network have been identified for the next years and scheduled the performances.

The III Plan envisages an investment of 1.266 M euros over the next 12 years in projects to improve the connection of the autonomic network with itineraries high capacity state-owned, conditioning and improvement of layout, reinforcements firm and construction of variants population, and will act with scheduled about 5.414 km road works, without forgetting those performances of routine maintenance and roads that run regularly on the entire network.
