ABSTRACT

We are on the path to smart cities. And a smart city or "Smart City" should be a safe city. In that respect, road safety is a key point in mobility, and is especially important in the urban environment, where most accidents with casualties occurs.

New modes of mobility management, following models such as "Smart Mobility" and based on the comprehensive management through an integrated platform also bring improvements to road safety level.

Throughout this article delves into these concepts, reviewing the main pillars of these new management systems. They are also collected and describe other control systems road safety.
