ABSTRACT
This article summarizes a research work carried out at the ETSI Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Madrid (UPM) on urban merchandise distribution.
the current situation of the sector analyzes possible solutions in Spain, specifically on legal aspects and economic and environmental problems, and all from the point of view of transport engineering.
Then, as an example, the case of Valdemoro (Madrid), showing how a redistribution of reserved parking spaces can achieve significant improvements in urban traffic, making the most efficient and sustainable area is studied.
The article lists the main end solutions.
