ABSTRACT
In the article the impact of the economic crisis on traffic speeds and intensities at the entrances to large urban centers is analyzed, describing the case of Barcelona, which has a tracking system traffic speeds in your blood network. The recessive economic situation from 2008 has involved a reduction in traffic intensities of 9,2%, and a parallel decrease in the levels of recurrent congestion, resulting in increases in the rates of circulatory flow at rush hour reaching in some sections above 75% of those registered in 2007 on weekdays values.
