It starts with an introduction and synthesis of the historical evolution of lighting in Spain, to continue the lighting of highways and roads.
the possible causes of nocturnal accidents as well as the methodology for selecting sections to be illuminated and the actions in existing installations in efficiency and energy saving are analyzed.
On this last point measures and checks to be made, and the intervention of the drive systems and light adjustment facility level, in addition to the replacement of mercury-vapor lamp, provides the criteria for temporary shutdown thereof and reducing levels tunnel lighting.
Considering the current regulations and the best techniques available in the art, the article ends with an exhibition on sustainable and efficient lighting.
