ABSTRACT
The cross drainage works, which are small structures drain water currents disrupted by infrastructure, are critical for a successful life and infrastructure behavior. In its design influenced by other factors besides hydraulic primarily determine its dimensions. These factors are derived from the characteristics of the road, the morphology of the channels, the assessment of the damage that may cause the concentration of flow and other considerations, primarily economic, on costs of construction and maintenance and estimating the life of the road. In this article the influence of these factors in a suitable design is analyzed, dealing with aspects such as the slope of the work, its alignment, the suitability of downspouts or channeling, the situation of the work and the design of the mouth and exit , criteria and time providing solutions for the consideration of the specific characteristics of the works.
