Increased traffic on the roads has led to problems at crossings. As a solution, both interurban roads and urban, has been imposing the solution called roundabouts, where traffic is penalized preferred and priority is given to traffic flowing through the roundabout. This solution has many followers, mainly among urban planners, because their solution is optimal in semi-urban areas. In this article the morphology, design and capacity calculation comparing performances in similar countries and seeing its potential application to the road network of Catalonia is analyzed.
