ABSTRACT
The new tunnel Vielha, in the region of the Aran Valley, part of the road link between Lleida and Vielha through the national road 230 Tortosa to France. It has a length of just over five kilometers and has three lanes. It runs almost parallel to a distance of approximately 100 m, the old tunnel built in 1948. The new tunnel works began on September 23 2002 with a budget allocation of € 128.113.682,72 and 39 execution period of months. This article describes the work carried out and the construction process and its main complementary, such as ventilation, lighting, radio, access ... and safety measures and environmental installations carried out.
