The paper presents the second part of a study conducted in collaboration between experts from the National University of La Plata (Argentina) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain). The first part of the study was presented at the number 147 Highways magazine.
This second part of the work is to study the behavior of binders recovered from aged mixtures, using two types of analysis: Rheological, made from and consistency tests using the dynamic shear rheometer (DSR); and evaluation from techniques of macromolecular analytical, such as chromatography gel permeation (GPC) and infrared spectroscopy, non-routine procedures that allow for deeper observation of the causes and effects of aging based on the changes in the bituminous binder.

The use of these technologies has enabled us to reaffirm and expand some concepts acquired during the first part of research trials grounded in the UCL method, providing more information about how incorporating fílleres to asphalt mixes influences the aging resistance from the same.
