Ignacio Pérez Pérez
Universidade da Coruña

This paper presents an assessment of the impact of traffic engineering four performances executed in the Autonomous Community of Madrid: upgrading of roads; improving vertical signs; repainting road markings and strong reinforcement. This evaluation was performed using Bayesian Empirical Method using a comparison group. the methodology used to compare the level of significance of the impact of road safety is described. The results show that the upgrading of roads has a positive and significant impact, while improving vertical signs, repainting road markings and firm reinforcing not produce a significant impact on road safety.
