The introduction of penalty points has been a success in its first months, with a reduction in mortality approximately 15%. However, the slight increase in control measures can compromise the continuity of this success and make that once past the initial effect of the measure, the trend of reduction of the accidents continue in a situation similar to the pre-driving license points.
