ABSTRACT
Screens and noise reduction devices are intended to act on the propagation of sound generated by the traffic of transport infrastructure. Naturally, it has also developed the corresponding implementing legislation in this area, whose ultimate goal is the quality assurance systems and materials used to reduce traffic noise.

The article begins by conducting a review of this regulation, then going to describe the different products used and their main characteristics: the speakers, partial or total coverings, reflective displays, absorbent screens, all of which are dealt with in the text.

Then the different requirements for noise screens, and different methods of checking these requirements are listed. Subsequently, the text describes the conformity assessment of these materials, the procedure for certifying compliance thereof, and ends with the EC declaration of conformity and CE marking and labeling of noise reduction devices.
