Example of private financing in the road network of Toledo

ABSTRACT
The network of roads dependent of Toledo is 990 km, and the budget for its development and conservation has been in recent years about 3 million per year, less than 3% of the total budget of the Council. That is why adapt the state, features and service level of its road network to the increasingly high demands that society demands has been a goal hitherto unattainable encryption between 60 and 72 million euros, without their conservation.
The only viable solution was to develop a system of public works concession for the operation of the highways of the Provincial Council of Toledo, under the TRLCAP in the draft given by the 13 / 2003 Concessions Law, relying on Article 247 and especially in the 246.4.
