ABSTRACT
In recent years, it has been much talk about the negative effects of road transport and its contribution to climate change. However, it should not be underestimated the ability of the sector to reduce emissions, as has been shown, for example, with the renewal of vehicle fleets. Despite these efforts, it is necessary to continue working on this line.

From the point of view of conduction, from the perspective of the vehicle and from all processes surrounding a road from its origin (planning, design, construction and operation), may propose measures to reduce the resulting global transport emissions highway. This article discusses some of these measures may help reduce the impact of transport on climate change.
