Biofuels: use experience in EMT Madrid

ABSTRACT
The need to move towards alternative renewable energy sources is an increasingly well-known fact in today's society. New energies from vegetable matter must be tried by transport companies, committed to the environment to demonstrate that their use is possible in the automotive field.
Municipal Transport Company of Madrid has been using biofuels (biodiesel and bioethanol) in its bus fleet for more than a decade, participating in several European projects in this area. This allows you to draw conclusions about the use of this type of fuel that can be useful for other urban transport operators.
In the article the characteristics of the fuels used and exposed as their conditions of use for urban transport showing the quantitative and qualitative results of their use.
