ABSTRACT
Although transport is currently a diffuse sector regarding the regulation of emissions, they have set targets for its reduction. As it cited in the "Spanish Strategy for Climate Change and Clean Energy. Horizon 2007 2012-2020-"he seeks to achieve, also in the diffuse sectors, emissions of greenhouse gases not exceeding a 37% over the base (1990) in 2008 2012-year period.

This article provide some of the strategies that are being developed in the road sector and others that can be enhanced in the near future, regarding infrastructure management and traffic and potential of carbon sinks linked to operation of roads.
