ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the accident and the existing road infrastructure on the roads of a highway from the Spanish Provincial Councils.

In the first part, we selected the main accidentológicos scenarios after analyzing the accidents database 'DGT'. In these analyzes, it has placed special emphasis on the characterization of the infrastructure through appropriate statistical analysis.

The second part has described deeper infrastructure in the most common scenarios previously detected for the provinces of Valladolid and Palencia, although only. To this end, they have jointly analyzed the database 'DGT' and different sources of information from these provinces, giving a detailed description of the infrastructure and equipment of these scenarios.
