ABSTRACT
With this paper we generalize the principles of perceptual grouping studying the effect of the interaction of variables such as form, symbol and color two traffic signals located in the same vertical post. The results have shown an interaction between the factors "Form" x "Symbol" x "Colour" of the vertical signals for both reaction times to the proportion of correct answers given by the subjects.
So, for quick recognition of a visual object, it is more favorable than it does not present similarities in their components to the present. Therefore, two vertical signals that match their characteristics appears that should not be placed in the same vertical post, it is better discriminate signals not coincide in their components than those that match due to the interaction of elements that must be carried out in this situation.
