1924. The concrete enters the picture
In the field of construction techniques, the major innovation of the first quarter century is the emergence of reinforced concrete, Engineer M. Hennebique invention. Its universal recognition came during the Universal Exhibition of London in 1924, and in the thirties, the 80 percent of the bridges are already built with this material.
