European Road Safety Charter

The European Road Safety Charter is one of the main initiatives of the European Commission for halving the number of road fatalities until 2010. With this tool, the European body is proposed that a community of citizens who commit formally to undertake concrete actions to promote road safety actions.

The Spanish Road Association, which works for more than half a century in improving road safety, fully shares these goals with the European Commission and therefore has not hesitated to join this initiative by signing a commitment according to their fields.

These fields of action focus on the application of appropriate technologies to reduce the consequences of traffic accidents, the development of means that allow a uniform and continuous control of the observance of traffic regulations, and the promotion of permanent educational activities. that contribute to a greater knowledge of the causes, circumstances and consequences of road accidents. (More information)
