Revista Carreteras
Article redaction and presentation recommendations
1. The title will appear
in the first page, in Spanish and English, with author’s
name, organisation and job title, address and telephone
contacts, including E-mail address if possible.
2. A summary of the article will be included at the
beginning of the text, and this summary will not exceed
the 150 words, both in English and Spanish. The key
words to include will not exceed a maximum of five.
(If this summary is not received, ‘Carreteras’
reserves the possibility of carrying out and publishing
a proper summary ) (*).
3. The text will be written in DIN A-4 on one side,
with a space and a half between lines and double space
between paragraphs. The letter will be “Arial”
or “Helvetic”, size ten. Pages will be numbered
and the margins will be 2,5 cm in each side roughly.
4. At the end, bibliographic references should be included
if possible. Also, including a conclusion text is recommended.
5. The inclusion of Photographs, Graphics and Tables
is recommended too, and they should be accompanied by
their explicative texts. All the material will be reproduced
in black and white.
6. An original in paper of the articles or documents
to publisher with the photographs, tables and figures
inserted in the text, will be sent.
7. Furthermore, the articles or documents to publisher
will be sent in Word.
8. Tables and Figures will be sent in an independent
computer file. Figures will be adapted to be published
in black and white.
9. Photographs will be sent in photographic paper or
slide or digital format. In two first cases, the material
will be returned to the author when the editing finish.

10. If the photographs are sent in digital format, they
must fulfil these conditions:
- .tif or .jpg format
- 150 pixel/inch resolution at least
- Size could be equal but not smaller than 10 x 15 cm.
11. Containing all these conditions, the article will
have a reference extension of 14-15 pages, including
Photographs, Tables and Figures and bibliographic references.
RULES FOR SPECIAL OR
MONOTEMATIC ISSUES OF ‘CARRETERAS’
1. The recommendations mentioned before will be always
respected if possible.
2. The number of the articles presented for the special
issues and the number of pages per article could vary,
as long as this quantity does not exceed 135 pages,
edited with the mentioned rules. A maximum of 8-9 articles
is recommended.
3. The issue manager will include an issue presentation.
